How to Install a Safety-Enclosed net for your Trampoline

As important it is to invest in a good trampoline which suits your requirements and preferences, it is equally important to purchase the relevant safety products. Children especially get so involved in jumping and doing tricks that they are often not careful enough and accidents can happen. For this a trampoline enclosure is a great idea to increase the safety of your trampoline. However for an enclosure to be fully effective you should carefully read all the instructions and install it properly.

A Trampoline safety enclosure is basically a safety net or heavy canvas used to protect you from jumping off the trampoline. These are available in a variety of sizes to suit your trampoline for example for a 12ft trampoline, a 12 ft safety enclosure should be purchased.

The trampoline safety enclosure can either be suspended or fitted on vertical poles installed around the edges of the main frame of the trampoline. The suspended nets function to catch a falling person while the vertically installed enclosure acts to repel them back onto the surface. Whichever you chose it should match your trampoline’s size. Most people prefer a 12 ft trampoline and thus it’s safety products are highly in demand and available from innumerable online stores.

For maximum protection, the user’s manual should be consulted for guidance and every instruction should be followed exactly. It is important to purchase such enclosures whose vertical supports are shock absorbent. They should neither be too hard so that they hurt on collision nor should they be too fragile to be unable to support someone if they stumble on them.

It is also important to purchase a trampoline safety enclosure whose supports and poles are made with a material which is weather resistant and therefore last a long time. It is always advisable to pad the poles for maximum safety. If you want a good deal you should go for such enclosures which come with a one year warranty.

The enclosures are available in prices ranging from $80 to $400. The prices also vary depending on their sizes and models. However it is important to give the same amount of importance to these products that you give to your trampoline and do not hesitate to spend a bit extra on them. Ultimately the enclosure is only useful if it is strong enough to support the falling person. Moreover if you search online be sure to purchase from only the authentic and reliable suppliers.

Benefits of Safety-Enclose Trampolines

Avoid the possibility of a jumper falling off the side of a 9 to 15-ft trampoline with a fully enclosing net.

Adults to the young experience the positive exercise benefits gained after a timely session on a back yard trampoline. An energetic set on a dependable mat offers a chance to improve on spatial awareness, balance, stamina and general conditioning for such active sports as wakeboarding, skiing, and snowboarding.

A typical cause of injury seen with excitable or over energetic jumpers is as a consequence of falling off the side of a trampoline – a means to avoid such injuries, comes in the shape of the resilient mesh netting, which circles the entire frame. A trampoline safety enclosure of this nature attaches to the legs, frame or to the jump mat.

Useful features seen with the trampoline safety enclosure include heavy-duty straps or holds to attach a net to its frame, netting with anti-rot and UV resistant properties, a jumper weight load at 235 to 295lbs and a choice to secure a nets closure with elasticated straps or a full-length zipper.

Hedstrom, DDI Sports, Pure Fun, and JumpKing all produce a series of octagonal, round or rectangular safety trampoline nets, with UV-protection, superior strength and durability, while standing at 5 to 6-feet in height, and designed to fit most 6 to 8 pole or 3 to 4 arch frame enclosures.

To shop for the ideal safety enclosure for a trampoline it is a necessary to determine the size dimensions of the frame – establishing the diameter of a frame is often a case of measuring from the outer side of one support leg to the outer side of the opposite support leg.

Gear to complement a full-sized trampoline include a water-repellent matting, with a thick foam rail pad to coat the springs for extra protection and safety, a winter cover in resilient materials, such as polyurethane or PVC, as well as anchor kits for a secure grip to an outside ground surface and short-length step ladders for easy-trampoline access.

All in all, a high-quality trampoline safety enclosure with weather-resistant, non-abrasive, and resilient properties offers a strong resistance to avoid ripping or collapsing as a result of impact from jumpers.

Trampoline Buying Help?

i’m looking to buy a trampoline, actually maybe tomorrow !
i’ve really wanted one for a long time , i’m turning 15 this summer but my dad thinks i’m too old ! usually i just want it for excercise, to play on & do tricks.
I saw one at Walmart for 250 & its a 12′ one. Is that too small? I heard the best is a 14′
the amount of people varies, usually just me, maybe my brother too, but when i have company over it mite go up to 2-4 people. I wanted to get a Springfree but my dad won’t let me! :( I was opting to go for craigslist but isn’t that dangerous? i mean what if its damaged that would be a higher injury risk

this is the 1 i want to buy, is it good?

What're your trampoline safety standards?

I grew up with trampolines being pretty much just a trampoline. Only very, very rarely were they shortened or buried and they never had any padding over the springs or net enclosures or anything like that. The only accident that happened on a trampoline with my friends was something that would have happened even with all of the safety precautions. But, I know that now it seems almost irresponsible to have a regular old trampoline with out any added "keep kids safe" features.

So, what are your requirements for your own trampoline or one that your kids routinely play on? Is normal, above ground, no padding, no enclosures still okay or is that bad? Which safety measures to you want? Do you keep it normal height above ground, shorten it, or bury it? (We’re hoping to pick up a hand-me-down trampoline soon for our 4 year old, so now I’m curious.)

Which trampoline deal is better?

At Walmart: 14ft. for 7.99 with no safety enclosure.

At Sam’s Club: 15ft. 5.78 with safety enclosure. (I wouldn’t use it anyway)

I don’t know if that one foot is worth the extra money.

Trampoline Information?

Hey!

Im getting an 8 foot trampoline for my birthday in 2 days. I’m really really excited, but I want to make sure im safe. So I was wondering if you could give me some safety tips while jumping on it. I got one with an enclosure, by the way. Do you think two people could be able to fit on it? If it helps, here’s the link to some pictures: http://www.walmart.com/Skywalker-8-Trampoline-Safety-Enclosure/ip/10963413

Also, can you give me a couple games to play on it too?

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it! :)
